OUR MISSION

The goal of this mission trip is to be obedient to the Great Commission and to be used as the Holy Spirit directs in Cambodia. We will be working with New Life Fellowship Phnom Penh Thmey under the guidance of pastors Sophea and Jennie Sem.  

Opportunity is provided to a team of nine from Daystar Church, including the 2024-
2025 ReaLiving students to grow in their faith and walk with the Lord.

Our prayer is that every member of the team will be used mightily by the Lord to edify the church in Cambodia and that all would come back with renewed zeal.

MEET THE TEAM

helgardt & Sanet dippenaar

Missions Trip Team Leaders
Helgardt and Sanet run the Men's and Women's ministries at Daystar amongst many other things. They have years of experience on the mission field and are very excited to lead this team heading to Cambodia. They're excited to see the team grow in their faith and ability to serve others and to bring that attitude back to Daystar.

Lead Pastor
Pastor Jerome is the lead Pastor at Daystar Church. After living in Chile as a teen on the mission field, he's grown a love and passion for missions. He's excited to see how God will grow the team and how they can be used to impact the lives of people across the world.

Youth Pastor
Pastor Liam and his wife Maddy run Merge at Daystar. While they're used to the chaos of youth ministry, going on the mission field will be new territory for them! They're excited to help teens of another nation and to see how God moves on the other side of the world. 

naomi ganley

ReaLiving Student
Naomi is a worshipper at heart. She leads the youth worship team along with being apart of the Sunday morning team. She can't wait to see how God will use her on this trip and is hoping that taking steps out of her comfort zone will inspire a fresh boldness in her. 

Jeremiah hunt

ReaLiving Student
Jeremiah is an infectiously joyful guy to be around. He mainly serves as Merge's sound guy and game master, but he brings an eagerness and willingness to serve in many areas of the church. He's ready to be used however needed in Cambodia and excited to show the love of God to people who may not know Him. 

chelsea paul

ReaLiving Student
Chelsea is a wonderful woman of God who serves on choir and Mom Life childcare. She can't wait see how the Kingdom of God operates internationally, and is hoping to build her intentionality of sharing the Gospel both in Cambodia and in Canada. 

katrina arcand

ReaLiving Student
Katrina is a passionate follower of Christ who serves in Merge, the Nursery, and the Sunday morning choir. She's excited to see how this trip will grow the team and is wanting to leave this trip with a deeper understanding of God.
