OUR MISSION

The goal of this mission trip is to be obedient to the Great Commission and to be used as the Holy Spirit directs in Cambodia. We will be working with New Life Fellowship Phnom Penh Thmey under the guidance of pastors Sophea and Jennie Sem.  

Opportunity is provided to a team from Daystar Church, including the 2025-
2026 ReaLiving students to grow in their faith and walk with the Lord.

Our prayer is that every member of the team will be used mightily by the Lord to edify the church in Cambodia and that all would come back with renewed zeal.

helgardt & Sanet dippenaar

Mission Trip Team Leaders
Helgardt serves on the eldership team at Daystar, and both he and Sanet serve and lead faithfully at Daystar in many areas. They have years of experience on the mission field and are very excited to lead this team heading to Cambodia. They're excited to see the team grow in their faith and ability to serve others and to bring that attitude back to Daystar.

Youth Pastor
Pastor Liam oversees Merge (Daystar's youth ministry) and the ReaLiving Program.  He's passionate about the pursuit of God and seeing young people catch that vision and fire. He's excited to help teens of another nation and to see how God moves on the other side of the world!

To be able to do what I can to share God's love with people and to be able to help where I can.

To grow in my relationship with God and to become bolder in my faith.

I like to help others, I'm creative, empathetic, compassionate, easy going and I have the gift of prophecy.

What are you hoping the team will achieve?

To stay out of my comfort zone during the trip and help and talk to as many people as possible

I want to grow my entire relationship with Jesus

What are your strengths and giftings?

I'm still learning them!

What are you hoping the team will achieve?

I hope that the team will help shed the light and love of Jesus to the people that need to hear and learn about him

I really have no clue but I expect it to be hard work but also fulfilling.

Prayer, spiritual fruit (all of them), discipline

Physical!

What are you hoping the team will achieve?

To bring 100 people to Christ, and greatly help the church

Stepping outside of my comforts/routine and thriving in it.

Grace and patience with myself. Leaning more into God, and His way of doing things.

What are your strengths and giftings?

Loving people. Listening, supporting. And as the Spirit wills prophetic gift.

What are you hoping the team will achieve?

All that God has for us to achieve in Cambodia! Mighty acts of the Church.
